For reasons not known by many, the users of 4chan do not like the VTEC motor. Considered by many to be an intricate component of the ricer movement(Japanese Muscle Cars. See The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift) On second thought, it is probably better that you did not. So what exactly IS VTEC?VTEC is an abbreviation for Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control, or essentially a computer can select one of two cam-shafts. A cam-shaft is what allows the motors valves to open during a certain time. In this way, the engine gets the best features of low-speed and high-speed camshafts in the same engine. Isn't that awesome!? Screw the wheel, and skip the telephone, VTEC is the greatest invention ever conceived by the human race. What about the light bulb? VTEC was succeeded by the imaginatively named iVTEC engine. The "i" obviously adds at least 100 horsepower. Do YOU Own A VTEC?HEY YOU! So you are probably asking yourself "Do I own a VTEC?" The motor of course only comes in one type of car, the Honda brand. Enthusiasts however have been known to fit them into Fords, and a number of other small vehicles. It is of note however to not put one into a pinto, as the sheer power will ignite the car on fire. The reason that these engines appeal to all of them is a simple reason. They all want to know what it's like to know when VTEC JUST KICKED IN, YO!! Once you've experienced this, make sure all of your friends and coworkers know that you have unleashed the fury.
