From WhatPort80
Visitor Privacy
We do not actively collect information about Whatport80.com (WP:80) users. For visitors who only browse WP:80 content, we collect no information beyond the basic server logs kept by most web sites.
Contributor Privacy
To publish content to WP:80, you must first create an account and log in. Your account name can be whatever you choose, but if you are concerned about your privacy you should consider using a pseudonym instead of your real name.
If you are using a public computer, or a computer with multiple users, you should always remember to log out of WP:80 to prevent other users from using your account. If you are employed and use a company mail server, or if your employer provides your internet access, your employer may be able to monitor your actions and identify your contributions to WP:80.
Contributor IP addresses are stored on the wiki severs and can be retrieved by site administrators and sysops. We will not publish or divulge contributor IP addresses except in cases of abuse or vandalism.
E-mail
You may provide your e-mail address in your Preferences and enable other logged-in users to send email to you through the wiki. Your address will not be revealed to them unless you respond, or possibly if the email bounces. If you do not provide an email address, you will not be able to reset your password if you forget it. You can remove your email address from your preferences at any time to prevent it being used.
Your e-mail address may also be published if you volunteer it for any reason, such as joining a mailing list. Additionally, as in the case of a mailing list, it may not be possible to remove your e-mail address from publicly available documents or archives.
Contributor Activities
Activities of contributors, such as the times at which they edited and the number of edits they have made are publicly available via "user contributions" lists, and in aggregated forms published by other users.
Contributor Responsibility
If you choose to contribute to WP:80 by adding content to articles, discussion pages or user pages, you are publicly publishing content. You should assume that anything you publish will remain available forever. You, the user, are solely responsible for the content you publish.
Each contributor of WP:80 holds full rights and responsibilities for materials they personally publish as it appears on this web site (WP:80). By use of this site, you accept and recognize this qualification and indemnify not only the owner of WP:80, but also all other contributors to WP:80, from any legal action.
User Logging
Every time you visit a web page, you send a lot of information to the web server. Most web servers routinely maintain access logs with a portion of this information, which can be used to get an overall picture of what pages are popular, what other sites link to this one, and what web browsers people are using. We do not use this information to keep track of legitimate users. The log data is not made public, and is normally discarded after a week.
IP addresses of users, derived either from those logs or from records in the database are frequently used to correlate usernames and network addresses of edits in investigating abuse of the wiki, including the suspected use of malicious "sockpuppets" (duplicate accounts), vandalism, harassment of other users, or disruption of the wiki.
Policy on Release of Server Log Data
Personally identifiable data collected in the server logs, or through records in the database via the CheckUser feature, may be released by the system administrators, in the following situations:
- In response to a valid subpoena or other compulsory request from law enforcement
- With permission of the affected user
- Where the information pertains to page views generated by a spider or bot and its dissemination is necessary to illustrate or resolve technical issues.
- Where the user has been vandalising articles or persistently behaving in a disruptive way, data may be released to assist in the targeting of IP blocks, or to assist in the formulation of a complaint to relevant Internet Service Providers
- Where it is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of the web site, its users or the public.
Security of Information
WP:80 makes no guarantee against unauthorized access to any information you provide. This information may be available to anyone with access to the servers.
Policy on Release of Correspondence
Any communication with WP:80 administrators may be published. Should you choose to present your e-mail address, physical home address, telephone number, full name or other personally identifying information to us by any means whatsoever, we reserve the right to publish said personal information in whole or in part. Should you choose to contact any member WP:80 by any means, including e-mail, we reserve the right to publish the conversation, in whole or in part, if we see fit to do so. By communicating with WP:80, you consent to said publication and acknowledge you have no expectation of privacy whatsoever under federal or state law for materials discussed and/or submitted. Legally priviledged materials and communication, and/or communication concerning an active ongoing law enforcement investigation will be kept confidential as required by law.
If for any reason we are required by law to disclose any information whatsoever, we fully reserve the right to do so.

The wiki will set a temporary session cookie (PHPSESSID) whenever you visit the site. If you do not intend to ever log in, you may deny this cookie, but you cannot log in without it. It will be deleted when you close your browser session.

Sharing Information with Third Parties
WP:80 will not sell or share private information, such as email addresses, with third parties, unless required by law to release the information.
Removal of Contributor Accounts or Content
Once created, user accounts will not be removed. User accounts may be banned at any time, for any period of time, without prior warning or notification. User content may be deleted at any time, without notice or explanation.

- Profanity
- Nudity or overt sexuality

Deletion of Content: Why Vandalism is Pointless
Removing text from WP:80 does not permanently delete it. In normal articles, anyone can look at a previous version and see what was there. WP:80 provides no guarantee that we will recognize or respond to requests for deletion of material.
