Yo Dawg, or Sup Dawg is a half decent meme revolving around image macros and formulaic repetitions of rapper Xzibit's words. It comes from his MTV television show, Pimp My Ride, and involves him putting things in things so you can do something while you do something.

The Formula

YO/SUP DAWG, WE HEARD YOU LIKE X, SO WE PUT X′ IN YO Y SO YOU CAN X′′ WHILE YOU Y′.

Origins

Rapper Xzibit hosts a show where he and his crew take beat up cars, and turn them in to what he calls "pimped". He decorates the insides of people's cars with useless trinkets and entertainment systems because, apparently, Xzibit thinks it's a good idea to play video games while you drive(he puts Grand Theft Auto in your dashboard so you can drive while you drive). This spawned a meme whereby using the above formula, lulz are produced by inserting witty things for the variables.

In early 2009, the rapper had had enough of people using his namesake for their jokes. He promptly went on his twitter to give us his opinion on the matter:

“	Everybody with the "Sup Dawg" s*** can find the highest place in your house and jump on something sharp to kill yourselves.it's f*****g old.	„
